From April 2025, a further treatment focus will be available to you on our premises: cardiac surgery. Prof. Dr. med. Friedrich-Christian Rieß - former Chief Physician of Cardiac Surgery and Chairman of the Albertinen Heart and Vascular Center - will be available to you personally and will continue to operate at the Albertinen Heart and Vascular Center as a cooperating physician.

Examination and treatment
Examinations in our practice rooms include resting and stress ECG, ultrasound examination of the heart (echocardiography), stress echocardiography (ultrasound examination of the heart under stress), ultrasound examination (color-coded duplex sonography) of the arteries supplying the brain, ultrasound examination (color-coded duplex sonography) of the aorta, arm, pelvic and leg arteries, long-term blood pressure measurement, lung function measurement and sports fitness test, pacemaker control and programming (incl. implanted defibrillators/ICD), laboratory diagnostics and health care (prevention).
Cardiac surgery diagnostics and therapy
Consultation and treatment of coronary heart disease, aortic aneurysms, aortic valve disease, mitral and tricuspid valve disease, pulmonary valve disease, tumors, correction of congenital heart defects and treatment of chronic atrial fibrillation. Operations on patients with congenital and acquired coagulation disorders and treatment of patients without blood transfusion.
